On the 18th April a group of 20 students took part in a puppet workshop in Białystok Puppet Theatre. Amazing puppets were created to be used in the school play about the Golden Duck („Złota Kaczka, czyli jak nie zostać biznesmenem roku". While art&craft ErasmusPlus Club meetings the students guidelined by the art teachers made a scenography.
Using a modern and a realistic point of view, our students chose to record this school play inside the classroom instead of the auditorium. Students also auditioned for each role separately in order to end up with the best performances. After having many takes, the students participated in the editing process of the video using iMovies with the help of their drama teacher. That way, they had a strong opinion of which scenes lived up to their expectations with regards to the quality and decided to have another shooting scheduled in order to improve their performances, raise the volume of their voices and change their body language when needed.
The students who want to act in the play were chosen by our Turkish teacher. They did many rehearsals of the play together to adjust the correct mimes and volumes. They also prepared the puppets and the scenery to add power to the play.
Students from 6th to 8th guided by the art teacher created the scenography and the props for the school play. Costumes were sewn by parents.
Scenery and other stage equipment was produced in the classrooms. A powerpoint presentation was produced to complement the theater show and help the understanding of the younger audience.
